COVID Protocols for Hybrid Students As our students have returned to campus, we wanted to remind our community about the procedures we follow if student present COVID-like symptoms and need to be kept home or sent home from school. We are following the COVID-19 Decision Tree as set forth by the San Diego County Office of Education. We understand that this can be frustrating, however, as a school, we must follow the guidelines out an abundance of caution to keep our students and staff safe. Below is the COVID-19 Decision Tree for your reference as well as a Parent Guide to Illness and COVID-19. Building a Foosball Table with Coach RamirezWe invite you and your students to join us for our next live weekly event, Building a Foosball Table, led by our teacher at the Health Station, Coach Ramirez. In this session, students will build their very own foosball table and create their own live game where they take on the role of an announcer, calling all the action of the game. Then, they will be able to participate in a live Kahoot! game to show what they have learned.
Once again, the event is designed to be for all ages and is open to the public. It will begin at our new time, 12 PM, and will be hosted on the Microsoft Teams platform, which is accessible through any web browser, regardless of whether or not someone has a district Microsoft account or the Microsoft Teams app. Spanish translation of the English event will also be available. Please share the links below to support your students and families in joining and accessing whichever broadcast they prefer. We have also attached flyers (as a JPG and PDF) for both the English broadcast and Spanish translation broadcast that can be shared with families on whichever platform you utilize to communicate with them. English: http://bit.ly/hestfoosball Spanish Interpretation: http://bit.ly/hestfutbolito Please contact our office staff if your student will be absent from school for any reason, regardless of whether they are in hybrid or distance learning.
Please note, for students physically at school in hybrid learning, it is very important that parents/guardians speak with our school office staff regarding the reason for any student absence from class. For the health and safety of all students and staff, students who are absent without parent contact will not be allowed back on campus until the parent/guardian discusses the reason for the absence with school office staff.
We follow the COVID-19 Symptom Decision Tree to ensure the health and well-being of our Arroyo Vista Community
As a reminder, please see the schedule below if your child is returning to in-person instruction tomorrow, April 12th. If you prefer to walk, please park in the neighborhood and walk to the front gate. We will not have parking available during drop-off and pick-up in order to keep traffic flowing. We are so excited to see our Coyotes again!
Please check your email for information about procedures and a special practice drop-off/pick-up on Thursday, April 8th. This is for students returning to hybrid (in-person) learning only.
