Dear Parents,
One last message before fall break with information about events this week and something to look forward to when we come back to school in October: 1) Tomorrow, Thursday, September 21, is the last chance to shop at the Book Fair. The PTA has morning and afternoon hours for that day: 8:15-9am AND 2-5pm. If you can't make it to campus, you can also shop the book fair online. Thank you to all those who stopped by the book fair already! AVCS will receive 25% of in-person and online sales. 2) On Friday, September 22, Cups & Straws Boba will be on campus. 3) Red Ribbon Week will be October 23rd to the 27th. More information will be shared after the break. 4) Save the date for Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 27. Please RSVP if you plan to attend. PTA Announcements for the week of September 18
1) Parent-Teacher Conferences and Minimum Days continue all this week. Dismissal Monday-Friday at 1:45pm. 2) The Book Fair remains open Monday-Thursday, September 18-21 from 2pm-5pm.
4) Cups & Straws Boba will be on campus Friday, September 22 after school. 4) School will be closed for Fall break September 25-October 9. 1) Robek's will be selling smoothies after school on Monday, September 11. Smoothies are $3, cash and Venmo are accepted. 2) Wednesdays are Kindness days. Students are encouraged to be kind and wear "Be Kind" gear. 3)This week on Thursday, September 14th the PTA will be holding a Loteria Night just before Mexico's Independence Day and the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Plan to shop September 14-21 in the MPR. ● Student preview days: September 12-13. Students will get to browse with their classes and have a chance to create a wish list. ● Family Days: The book fair will be open for sales during parent-teacher conferences September 14-21 from 2pm - 5pm. ● The PTA needs your help at the book fair! We hope you'll volunteer to help out with us during the book fair. This is a great opportunity to get to know other AVCS families. Here is some information on How it Works and how to Sign Up for e-Wallet. ● While the students are previewing the books with their class, their teachers will also have the opportunity to create a wish list. 1) Fridays are Spirit Days- wear your Coyote gear on Fridays. The PTA will be selling Coyote Merch on Friday, September 8th. 2) Also on Friday, September 8th, Hot Bevs Coffee & Tea Co. will be on campus with gourmet hot beverages and donuts. A portion of the sales will be given back to AVCS. 3) Thursday, September 14th will be Loteria Night! This is a free event for all families.
