PTA Announcements for the week of October 23
1) This week is Red Ribbon Week October 23-27. Please see flyer attached for each day's theme. 2) On Wednesday, October 25 at 9am there will be a Red Ribbon Week Presentation for the elementary school students. All AVCS families are welcome to attend and hear our local law enforcement officers educate the students about the dangers of drug use. 3) AVCS will be participating in the CVESD canned food drive this week. If you'd to participate, look for marked boxes on campus or ask your teacher where the food is being collected. 4) Trunk or Treat will be on Friday, October 27. All families are invited to attend, but we ask that you please RSVP to let us know if you are coming so that we can plan accordingly. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0945A4A72BA7FFC16-44507693-trunk 5) This year we will be creating a school community alter in the multipurpose room for Dia de los Muertos on November 1 and 2. If you wish to participate, please bring in a small framed picture of your loved one who has passed to be placed on the alter. All photos must be picked up by the students on Friday, November 3. Please see flyer, attached, for complete details. 6) Save the Date: Veterans breakfast on Wednesday, November 8 at 7:45am. All families are welcome to come and celebrate our military families.
